Do you offer a postal try on service?

Sadly we do not. Please understand that with such a quick turnover time in between bookings, if the item is delayed getting back to us it would interfere with other booked rentals. However, if you are unsure about the sizing or fit of a garment, please get in touch via Instagram @occasion.rentals, and we would be more than happy to provide you with measurements and/or photos of the dress on.

Do you offer a try on service?

If you require a try on, please get in touch with us on our instagram @occasion.rentals so that we can sort this with the individual person.

Do I wash the garment before returning it?

Please DO NOT wash any garment before returning it. This is due to the delicacy of some of our garments (needing dry cleaned) which means you could do damage to the garment by attempting to wash it yourself. We take care of all the cleaning for our garments so all you have to do is pop it back in your return postage slip.

When booking, what date do I book the garment for?

Select the date you are intending to wear the garment for. We will ensure your garment arrives to you 1-3 days prior to your event

Can I pick up the garment?

Yes absolutely! We are based in Rangiora and allow pick ups free of charge. Please select this option at checkout.

What day do I have to book my rental by?

Postal rentals must be made by Wednesday 12pm each week for weekend arrivals. Late bookings placed after Wednesday 12pm will not receive a product refund or shipping refund if the garment does not arrive on time.

Pick up orders can be placed up until 12pm the day of your event

When do I post my rental back?

Please ensure you return your garment the following working day after your event. If you fail to do so you will incur a late fee of $20.00. For example, if you book a garment for Saturday, you will be required to return the garment on the Monday. All you have to do is pop your garment in the return postage slip provided and hand it over the counter at a NZ Post branch. Please DO NOT pop it in a NZ Post box as these parcels need to be scanned.

What if I change my mind about the dress or it doesn’t fit?

Unfortunately due to the nature of our business we are unable to provide you with a refund or store credit for change of mind, so please carefully read the descriptions and refer to the sizing charts. If you are Christchurch based, you are welcome to swap your garment, subject to availability. If the new garment price is higher than your original booking, you will be required to pay the difference, if it is less than your original booking we will credit you the difference.
